THE ISLAND GOLF CLUB

The Island Golf Club boasts a jewel of a links course, which until 1973 had to be reached by boat from across the estuary at Malahide. Thankfully, this North Dublin golfing gem is now more easily accessible and well worth the journey. It enjoys a peaceful setting and is bordered by the sea on three sides. Founded in 1890, The Island is constantly rated among the top courses in Ireland. Martin Hawtree has recently made course design changes ensuring that its true nature and character are enhanced. The Island is known for having no two holes that are alike, a trait that is rarely found in golf courses.
