THE OLYMPIC ACADEMY COURSE

The name of the new course, located in Costa Navarino’s Navarino, symbolises the link between golf and “Olympism” as it is the closest golf facility to ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. The new partnership between the IOA and Costa Navarino, with the significant contribution of the HOC, is guided by the principles and values of “Olympism” and aims to promote Olympic development through a variety of activities both in Costa Navarino and on the IOA site, and will play a key role in bringing golf to a growing global audience. The naming of the International Olympic Academy’s new golf course reflects the shared values of sustainability, personal well-being, development and growth. The course is one of two 18-hole signature courses at Navarino Hills designed by two-time Masters champion José María Olazábal and will open fully in spring 2022.
