NUWARA ELIYA LEISURE

Nuwara Eliya Sri Lanka (City of Lights) is a resort in the central mountain range of Sri Lanka. Blessed with a healthy climate and a breathtaking view of valleys, meadows, mountains and greenery; It is hard to imagine that Nuwara Eliya is only 180 km from the hot and humid Colombo. Nuwara Eliya, also known as “Little England”, was the most popular mountain station for the British, who tried to transform the resort into a typical English village.
Adam’s Peak is popularly known among locals as Samanala Kanda or Butterfly Mountain in Sinhala. The mountain is 2,243 meters high and tapers at its peak. It is the most prestigious place in Sabaragamuwa province. On the way there you can visit numerous attractive waterfalls and pass the typical tea plantations.
