Erinvale Golf Club was designed by the famous South African golfer “Gary Player”, also known as the “Black Knight”. The natural habitat of the area played an integral part in the planning of the Estate. For instance, the presence of huge, over hundred years old Magnolia trees add to Erinvale’s splendour. Because of it’s possition the course may be played as two different routes. The first nine holes on the lower section of the estate between slow flowing streams and bridges. The second part of the course is played at the foot of the Helderberg with it’s sloping fairways and magnificent views of the False bay and the Cape of Good Hope. During 1996 the World Golf Championships were held at Erinvale and the golf club twice hosted the South African Championships.
